Ananda Chaudhuri

Mr. Chaudhuri is a Partner at Filippatos PLLC who has over a decade of experience representing diverse employees ranging from CEOs with contractual disputes to waitstaff who had their tips stolen. He has been appointed lead counsel in numerous successful class and collective actions and has helped workers recover millions. He tenaciously represents employees who have suffered from unlawful discrimination and retaliation.

Mr. Chaudhuri started his career ligating securities class actions and derivative actions on behalf of shareholders where he efficiently navigated complex, fact-intensive disputes.

Who is Ananda Chaurdhuri?

Mr. Chaudhuri started his professional career as a journalist, where he honed his ability to distill complex facts into a compelling narrative. As a lawyer, he uses these skills to give clients a voice and powerfully tell their story in litigation.

After reporting for newspapers and magazines such as the New York Daily News, Boston Herald, Working Woman Magazine, and Self Magazine. Mr. Chaudhuri went to law school so that he could better advocate for victims of fraud and employment discrimination. Since graduating law school in 2005, Mr. Chaudhuri has spent his career representing primarily plaintiffs.

Mr. Chaudhuri has lived in New York for over twenty years and has extensive experience litigating in both state and federal New York courts.

Background & Experience

Before joining Filippatos PLLC, Mr. Chaudhuri was a solo practitioner. He handled complex employment matters, including discrimination and wage and hour disputes. He prides himself on his client-focused approach to litigation, taking into account each clients individual situation to craft tenacious, sophisticated litigation strategies. Whether cases resolve in weeks or years of hard-fought litigation, Mr. Chaudhuri remains committed to fight for his clients.

Before starting his own firm, Mr. Chaudhuri was a senior lawyer at a litigation boutique that represented employees and entrepreneurs. He represented executives in litigation involving corporate control, entrepreneurs in cases involving theft of trade secrets and contractual disputes, and a university professor challenging an adverse tenure decision.
