Filippatos Represents Former Firefighters in Unpaid Overtime Claim
Filippatos PLLC is representing two former FDNY firefighters in their lawsuit against their former employees. William H. Payne and Brandon Keeney were required to work up to 30 hours a week unpaid at the department’s training academy. The pair also claim they were forced to do humiliating tasks. Attorney Tanvir H. Rahman is leading the men’s representation. He told the NY Post that no employer is immune from laws that protect workers from wage theft, not even the FDNY.

Worker Hits A&E With Age Bias, Sex Harassment Suit
Filippatos PLLC is representing Jenice E. Jeter in her lawsuit against A&E Television Networks. She alleges the network violated Title VII and the Age Discrimination in Employment Act. Jeter claims the network declined to promote her because of her age, ignoring her work and the requests she made to be placed in a supervisory role. She also claims the network did not protect her from a supervisor’s overly friendly behavior.
