Filippatos PLLC is representing Joy Vida Jones in her lawsuit against Palm Management. Jones claims the steakhouse chain discriminated her because she is Black and its management team forced her out of the company after she was diagnosed with lung cancer. She joined the company in 2012, informed it of her diagnosis in 2018, and was terminated in 2020.

A Filippatos PLLC client has secured $12 million in a settlement from Fox News Network to resolve her lawsuit against the network. Abby Grossberg, a former producer at Fox, claimed the network fostered a hostile work environment and tried to use her as a scapegoat in the Dominion Voting Systems lawsuit. She was fired from Fox in 2023.
Ex-Kirkland Associate Asks Court to Quash Firm’s ‘Invasive’ Probe of Work History at Paul Hastings, Fish & Richardson
Filippatos PLLC is representing Zoya Kovalenko in efforts to protect the client from invasive inquiries in an ongoing gender discrimination case against her former employer, Kirkland & Ellis. Kovalenko filed her complaint in 2022. K&E has issued subpoenas to Kovalenko’s former employers requesting her personnel files. Filippatos has called these requests invasive, broad, and burdensome.
Kirkland loses bid to subpoena other law firms in bias lawsuit
Filippatos PLLC is representing Zoya Kovalenko in her lawsuit against her former employer, Kirkland & Ellis LLP, alleging sexual discrimination. In the case’s most recent development, the federal magistrate judge has barred K&E from subpoenaing two other major law firms for Kovalenko’s personnel information. Filippatos Partner Tanvir Rahman said the decision should discourage other employers from such “heavy-handed” tactics.
Kirkland Fights Uphill To Get Atty’s Info From 2 BigLaw Firms
Filippatos PLLC is representing Zoya Kovalenko, an intellectual property litigator, in her lawsuit where she alleges her former employer discriminated her based on her gender. Kovalenko is suing Chicago-founded Kirkland & Ellis LLP. Kovalenko asked the federal judge overseeing her case to block K&E’s “invasive and harassing” subpoena requests to her other former employers.
