A polished attorney with years of litigation, mediation and arbitration experience, Mr. Farrow is relentless in his pursuit of justice for his clients. In his practice, Mr. Farrow handles a litany of employment issues, including but not limited to, retaliation, interference with medical and other protected leave(s), workplace discrimination, separation agreements, denial of religious and disability accommodations, and sexual harassment.
As an associate for a prestigious New York City law firm, Mr. Farrow worked with senior partners on appellate and non-appellate matters, both in the criminal and civil context. In criminal law, Mr. Farrow’s area of experience focused on Federal and State matters ranging from RICO cases and Murder to White Collar Defense and Conspiracy. In Civil, Mr. Farrow’s practice centered on Title VII cases, 1983 matters, and violations of the New York City Human Rights Law and New York State Division of Human Rights. This experience provided Mr. Farrow with excellent legal writing, oral advocacy, and procedural skills that make him your go-to attorney.
Mr. Farrow also served as general counsel to several small businesses in the cannabis industry which required their continued compliance with federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and policies.
Prior to joining Filippatos PLLC, Mr. Farrow served as a public defender at The Legal Aid Society of New York City, the largest criminal defense practice in the country. At The Legal Aid Society Mr. Farrow provided direct representation to thousands of indigent defendants, sometimes hundreds at a time, at the trial level, charged with, or convicted of, violating an assortment of high-level felony, misdemeanor and non-criminal statutes in the New York state Penal Law, Vehicle & Traffic Law of New York state, and the Administrative Code of New York City. Mr. Farrow’s ability to handle a high-volume caseload effectively and efficiently with incredible attention to detail serves as his hallmark.
In his career, Mr. Farrow also has experience providing legal counsel to the US Small Business Administration’s disaster relief loan program to ensure the agency complied with federal law and presided as an arbitrator at FINRA over summary jury trials of complex financial cases.
When he is not practicing law in New York, Mr. Farrow serves as a volunteer tutor for at-risk first-generation students for whom English is not the first language at a Bronx high school. Mr. Farrow is a former Rugby Player.
Sean was born in Cherry Hill, NJ, of African American, Native American, Chicano, and Irish heritage. He holds a Juris Doctorate from New York Law School and is licensed to practice law in New York and New Jersey.
